Who are we?

We are a Farm to Pantry delivery service. We believe that restocking your pantry shouldn't come at a cost to the earth.  We source organic foods from small farmers, hand-pack your order in compostable bags and ship straight to your door.

Why compostable packaging?

We believe compostable and plant based packaging is the bees knees. This allows for the modern conveniences of home delivery without filling up your trashcan with plastic waste. Our home compostable bags will turn into nutrient rich soil in 6 months!

Both our clear and  house zip bags meet composting standards for industrial and home composting environments.

Why plastic-free packaging?

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, food containers and packaging contribute almost 23% of the material reaching landfills in the USA.

But what about recycling?

Researchers estimate that more than 8.3 billion tonnes of plastic has been produced since the early 1950s. About 60% of that plastic has ended up in either a landfill or the natural environment. Only nine percent of the plastic that has been sent to recycling centers have actually been recycled since 1950.

And despite what allot of people may think, not all plastics are recyclable. The bulk of plastic recycling is downcycling, which means that plastic degrades with each turn through the recycling process. Thermoplastics might be able to be melted, molded, and hardened again, but even they won’t last forever. And instead of biodegrading, most of them just break down into microplastics, which persist in the environment and cause health problems for just about everyone and everything along the food chain.

Plastic recycling is very tricky; it's complicated because of how many types of plastics there are and how they were made. Different types of plastics are recycled together, and need to be separated accordingly. Plastic recycling is also very expensive, and there isn't a huge market for them

As consumers we can assist by buying products from manufacturers that are prioritizing recycled plastics in their packaging. This helps drive a market for recycled plastics. However, this is simply not enough! We also need to try avoid single use plastic as much as possible.
