What packaging do you use?

We distribute dry goods in packaging that can be returned, recycled or composted.  You get to choose if you would prefer your goods in glass or paper.

Our meat is distributed in Cryovac bags to ensure quality and freshness.

How do the deposits work?

If you receive food in our packaging, you can return the packaging to us to receive your deposits back. Each package has a $3 deposit.

You pay a fully refundable deposit on every jar or bottle. When you place your next order, we collect the empty containers, and credit your account.

What about the sizes?

We have weighed all our food in the different packaging and the weight is listed under the product packaging option you select. The weight of the jars are not included in the weight of the product. If it says 12 oz, its 12 oz of pure food, no jar, no bag, no additional weight included.

Liquids like soaps, vinegar, oils etc are packaged in returnable bottles either in 16 fl oz, 32 fl oz or 64 fl oz.

I have packaging to return but I don’t know how

Simply set your returnables out by your door in a box or a cooler and when we deliver your order, we will collect our packaging, and send you a store credit.

If you do not plan on ordering again, we will refund your deposit back to you, once we have collected our jars. Send us an email at [email protected]  so that we know to do this.

How will I know what containers to return?

To avoid confusion, our jars and bottles have our logo on. Please take care of the packaging and only use them for their intended purpose. We cannot refund you if the jar or bottle is broken or damaged.

Please rinse jars before returning. Avoid dishwashers.

Once collected, all jars and bottles are cleaned and sanitized at our facility before reusing them.

How do I know my order was received?

Once your order has been placed, you will receive confirmation of your order and it will specify your delivery day under shipping.  You can also view your orders in your ‘My Account’ page.

How do I receive my delivery?

Your delivery will be left outside your door, please ensure that a cooler is available if you are expecting fresh food that will go bad in the heat.

Make sure you have added a few ice packs to your cooler, as we cannot be responsible for spoilage after we have delivered your food.

What about if I live in an apartment?

If you live in an apartment block, please meet us at the front of your building, or give us the delivery instructions when you checkout. If we need to leave it in the mail room, let us know. Please make a note of your delivery day to ensure someone is available to receive your order and/or provide us with any returnables.

How much does delivery cost?

If you live in Kansas City, you fall under our service area, and we deliver to you for a flat fee of $5.99. If you live outside of Kansas City, the weight of your goods will determine the price of shipping. So, it might make sense to order most of your goods in paper bags rather than glass.

Is there a minimum order?

There is no order minimum. Free shipping is available on orders exceeding $50 in our service area.

I need to change the date of my delivery, is this possible?

Need to change your delivery date? You can email us at [email protected] and let us know of your changes. We will reallocate your delivery if this is possible.

Where do you source your food from?

We source within the USA and abroad. We ensure that we only buy food that is organic. We support Non-GMO farming practices and believe in supporting farmers that use regenerative agriculture practices to grow topsoil rather than erode it.

Food sourced from outside of the USA is traded fairly to ensure that everyone is paid properly for their labor.

And lastly, we source heirloom varieties so that you get to taste food you would never taste in conventional grocery stores, and we get to support farmers that are saving heirloom seeds and growing these varieties for us to enjoy.

Allergens : Our products are not safe for people with nut allergies.

We make sure we maintain FDA approved standards in our processes. All packaging is done in a sanitized environment, and all jars and bags are cleaned and sanitized at high temperatures, in a commercial grade washer.

Emissions Policy : We deliver in a hybrid car or a delivery van, and use optimized route technology allowing us to save fuel and reduce emissions.

Return Policy

We hope you will always be satisfied with your products, however, should you feel that you have received a product that is not of high standards, please contact us and we will happily sort out the problem.

Food cannot be returned if it has been opened or used because we cannot resell the food. Should there be an issue with freshness or quality, please contact [email protected]

We are not responsible for perishable food going bad if no cooler and ice packs are provided.
