Tricolor Quinoa is a combination of red, white and black quinoa. It has a slightly nutty, earthy flavor and a lightly crunchy texture. It is high in protein and has more fiber and antioxidants than white quinoa. Tricolor is also gluten free while offering a beautiful array of colors.

Store in a cool, dark, dry place in an airtight container.
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
Stovetop Method
1 cup quinoa 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt 2 cups water or broth
Rinse quinoa in a fine mesh strainer for about 30 seconds or until water runs clear.
Transfer quinoa to a medium pot with water (or broth) and salt. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer, uncovered, until quinoa is tender, about 15 to 20 minutes, and check to see if all the water has absorbed and the grain is translucent and tender and a white “tail” has appeared around each grain.
Cover and set aside off the heat for 5 minutes; this step enables the last bits of water to be absorbed and let the steam and heat generated in the closed pot to finish the cooking process, uncover and fluff with a fork.
