Elderberry Syrup

Directions:

1. Add all ingredients except honey to large pot and bring to a boil

2. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 40-45 minutes. Liquid should reduce by about half

3. Strain liquid over a cheesecloth covered fine mesh sieve and squeeze out all liquid.

4. Allow to cool for about 20 minutes then stir in honey.

5. Store in an airtight container and keep in the refrigerator.

Syrup will keep for up to 2 months. Take daily for immune boosting strength. Take 1 tablespoon for adults, 1 teaspoon for children.

 

NOTE: If giving to children under the age of 1, replace honey with coconut sugar or other sweetener.
